Just thought I'd chime in again...

I still like these grilles. Both in Black Chrome and with Rubberized Undercoating

How long have you had yours on for? What brand did you use for your coating? Every 2-3 months I spray tire dressing on mine when I am washing my truck and I let it soak in. Blot to dry and it looks brand new! :D

I've really been tossing it up for awhile... I want to do a satoshi, but don't want the labor. I like billet grilles, but I've gotten rid of anything really shiny on my truck so black billet is at the semi top of my list..... I just don't know!!!

I used the 3m rubberized coating too but i coated it with krylon fusion black and then clear coat and it hasnt faded one bit. Its been about half a year, but Im gonna try the tire dressing because thats sounds like a good idea

Don't get rid of the billet it looks good on your truck. If anything satoshi the billet itself

Camper top with racks, Custom fogs behind lower bumper. Interior LED lighting, Rock Lights, Hella 500s with upraged bulbs behind black billet grill, AAL, Front 5100s
I went with it b/c of the price, mesh is more popular so prices start at 160. A chrome billet starts at 45, black at 70.

That pricing sounds pretty reasonable. I think I'm gonna go with this. It's also unique and rare to see black billet compared to the others.

Yeah its really not bad, and with an older model everything is that much cheaper. I really want to have my lights behind the grill for numerous reasons including the area where I live and looks, but there was just no way I was shelling out 160 for a Grillcraft mesh grill.

Satoshi was an option, but I don't like thought of dealing with the hassle of having to fabricate a bracket again as opposed to just mounting them in the grill itself. (Just made brackets to mount non OEM fogs behind the lower grill with strong-ties. Works really well, will have to take some pics at some point.)

I know it's an old thread but didn't want to start a new one. Any one do the raptor style with these grills? Getting one next week and looking into emblem options.
