I recently got a 2.5inch lift and some New Goodyear Duratrac tires put on my truck, and I was sick of seeing the other trucks with the same sports rims. Getting new rims/painting them isnt an option right now So I just put on some black center caps. Tell me what yall think:confused:

I like it! Wish i wouldn't of scrapped my stock rims. I could of painted them black and used them for winter time. Pisses me off. Oh well. Those center caps look perfect with that truck.

I got the part from http://www.toyotapartscheap.com/ Part Number PTR20-35081

But I've seen other tacoma's on here with black outed rims use them, Just never one with the Original Aluminum with Black centers. They were $9.74 a peice.

Partially cause I dont wanna deal with taking the tires off the rim to coat them, and alittle to just find a unique alternative.

I left my ties on when I painted mine. I did it during a weekend, easy.

The tires are black and the paint is black so even if you don't mask perfectly it's no big deal.

I was thinking of powder coating, but after a few trips offroading I'm glad I painted. I had a couple rocks leave big gouges in the rims. Easy to touch up with a rattle can I did not even take them off the truck.

You don't hafta take the tires off the rim to paint them. Just stick index cards around the lip of the wheel and cover the tire with newspaper.

Well I would rather Powder Coat them is what im saying I guess. And the red TRD letters kinda blend in with the TRD decal. But yes I understand that you can paint them with the tire on, ill take some time to see which i'll like best.

Yeah misinfo was thinking of the tires I took off. Goodyear Duratracs DOH

Fits the 17's but it is not as secure as the original caps so reccomended to use somthing to help it stick stronger , seems like it stays in good on its own but you can pull it out with alittle force with your hands I used some Double stick tape, on the tabs
