    So i tried painting my climate controls black and I did a horrendeous job lol...well its not that bad but im really anal like that. So I just decided i would buy one but the problem is I cant find one in black (tried ebay and tw). Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

    wow!! well i've seen some on ebay for 100 but its the silver ones and I really want a black one

    Thanks I did see it but i am more interested in buying a brand new one or one that has not been spray painted....I already have one of those lol

    One option you have is to use goof-off (available at Menards) which will take off the black and probably some of the factory grey coating. Then repaint with black Krylon Fusion (also available at Menards). Several light coats of that should look good.

    No Menards here in Laredo....Walmart?...when I sprayed it I got too close and it left a think goopy kind of look totally killed the texture thats why I prefer just getting a new one? Any suggestions for fixing that anyone?

    SS is right. Noe (05prerunner) was sellin a black base model factory control. it wasn't painted

    i found a black one on ebay about a year ago. paid $50 bucks for it and everything works perfect to this day. it took a long time to finally find one though. i got very impatient, but waited long enough and found an awesome deal.

    ^ where'd you get the black shift surround plastic thing? haha. i painted mine, but it's getting pretty jacked up.

    everything was swapped over from the base model truck. i painted the front cup holders black like lentsh did...need to get an updated pic. came out sweet
