Black cover under headlight

What is it for? Does anything go there on different trim trucks?

 

Non-functional. Purely aesthetic.

I would imagine so there isn’t a huge gaping hole there.

 

@mesojdm made a smooth cover and painted it to match his truck, looks lots better than stock.

 

Yup. IMO, it accentuates the headlight lines and makes them look more aggressive.

So this begs the question, are you printing these for sale? I recall Meso printing out something similar in another thread.

 

What did you make the cover out of? Also, what did you paint with. I have a QS and like the look. I may have to try this out.

If it came smooth, people would be clamoring to get these "grill" version. Just to be different. Funny stuff. I don't mind the stock look, personally.

 

I don't mind the stock look, either, but you are exactly correct for me. I like the little things that set my truck apart from the stock look.

 

Stock looks fine to me too. Some people on TW just find every little thing to mod out of boredom. That's how you end up with a riced out truck.
