Black emblem on pyrite

    I'm waxing the truck today and was thinking of doing my emblems in black , would like to see some pics if anyone has some of black emblem on pyrite.

    I've got the black decals on the tailgate. You can see them in my signature, and/or check out my build thread.
    I tried blacking out the original badges, but to me it looked cheap. I think grey, like my side decals, or yellow, like some that I previously had are also good colors to compliment pyrite.

    I have a Pyrite Mica and personally I like the way color keyed emblems look and that's what I'm planning to do.

    I like black on the pyrite, but thought too much black starts to look cluttered. I color matched my emblems and couldn't be happier. Lots of nice comments and even the dealer mechanic asked where I got them. Camera is broken so sorry but only have cell phone picture.

    Took them off (lot's of threads on that just search). Scuffed them, two coats of adhesion promoter, three coats of base, and two coats of clear. Match almost perfectly. You can buy the paint here: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/index.htm
