The mud flaps on my Taco are pretty low to the ground and have work a small ridge into the flares on my truck from bottoming them out on very small rocks and other things.

I was going to refinish them, but I was thinking about painting them flat black. The chrome part of my grille is flat black and the middle of my front bumper has a spot worn into it from a license plate the guy who owned the truck before me had. I was planning on doing the same thing to that section of the bumper.

How do you guys think a white Taco would look with stock flat black flares would look?

And I have rubber to make new flaps to prevent this from happening again.

At some point I plan on taking the headlights apart too. I like the storm trooper look.
However I'm not the biggest fan of plastidip. I don't like how it peels. I guess it would probably withstand rocks and stuff like that better eh?

Plasti dip it. If you like the look peel it off and do it more permanent with paint, bedliner, whatever floats your boat. If you don't like it, then just peel it off. No harm done.
