Phone mount options are literally anything you can get with a standard 1" RAM mount ball on the back. Alternatively, you can franken-cobble together anything you want and bolt it down.

I know there are the under mirror mounts but they block a lot of view.

 

My concern with this type of mount is that it "may" block part of the front screen of the detector. I wonder if there is a traditional spring-arm phone mount that could be used flat that would cradle the detector from underneath??? I will measure the width of mine and report back.

Edit - My 360 Max is 5 1/4" long and 3 3/4" wide.

I just got my DMM in the mail today. Very fast shipping, thanks! I plan on installing USB ports behind the dash and running charging cables up through the DMM for my phone. Can I use one of these square notches already in the DMM? I don't know what other purpose they serve.

 

They are indeed made for cables to be passed through from behind the dash up to your devices attached to the DMM. They do require you notch the plastic trim the DMM attaches to, so be sure to do that before attaching the DMM [for the final time] to the trim.

 

I'm looking at getting the dashtop single mount for the drivers side..but I'm kind of confused on what the kits come with. Is the $21 one just the mount itself?? @FreshMexicanTaco

 

That's exactly what they are made for, the DMM top and bottom plates have the notches at the exact same locations so you would only have to trim the plastic in between them to pass the cables through.

 

The $21 option is teh DSM ONLY, so you would only get the DSM top and bottom plates with their respective hardware, no ball mounts or anything else.

The magnetic kit will have the DSM plus a ball, arm, and magnetic mount for your phone,

The slim grip kit will have the DSM plus a ball, arm, and a clamp style mount for your phone/small tablet

 

If you did that I would appreciate it, but dont go out of your way for it.

 

That would be cool but I have the M1 dash cam together with the escort Radar detector plus it’s hardwired to mirror . I’d like a go pro mount from windshield to hold my setup . Any ideas?
