Anyone order RCI aluminum engine skid plates?
I order mine trough truckbrigade on Nov 27(6 weeks) and still haven’t received it.
RCI lead time states 3-4 weeks and also states that lead time for aluminum skid could be longer which I completely understand and I’m okay with waiting.
I just want to get an idea on how long I still have to wait.

I ordered the engine and transmission skid directly from rci, but mine were steel. I gonna assume maybe aluminum takes more time? Ordered 11/29 and received on the 3rd and 6th of January. Very happy and was not expecting it that fast.

I ordered mine Nov 11, got it the 23rd. Aluminum, black powder coated.

I'm guessing I got one RCI had on hand and as orders came in their backorder grew

Harbor Freight currently has floor jack on sale, you can add Daytona coupon to it additionally, I'm insider track so I got 20% off which brought it to less then $100 including tax. It does pick up the stock 4x4 Tacoma but is fully extended, I will probably toss a 2x4 on top so it goes a littler higher. I was going to buy the 3 ton floor jack but this is to good a deal for me to pass up.

    SS3/SSC2 LED Ditch Light Kit | 16+ Tacoma × 1
    SSC2 Pro / White / Combo

@memario1214 got a question. Regarding the LED ditch lights I bought (see pic in post linked above) do you (or anyone else) know if there is a bracket available that will move the light pod slightly more forward, like about two inches? I thought they fit when the hood is open but I had not plugged the power cable in yet. I didn't realize the cable was so thick, and now when the hood is open even halfway the wire gets jammed and bent against the windshield. I can't imagine it will last very long doing that over and over. So it looks like the only way I can use these is to find a bracket that will mount them forward a bit more. Any thoughts? I really like them (haven't plugged them in yet though lol) and would hate to have to try to return or sell them just because they didn't fit. :-(

Okay so what happened here is that you got the Gen-1 3-position harness. It has an overmolded connector that is fine for just about everything except for ditch light applications as you have discovered. It doesn't surprise me that one slipped out though.

What I recommend you do in the meantime is that if you have to pop your hood just disconnect the harness from the C2s so that you can open your hood and not risk binding anything. I'll have DD send you a new harness next week that can turn the corner.

Also, moving forward if you have questions for me specifically about an order please PM me directly. If you just tag me in a thread there's a decent chance I won't see it. Don't want you thinking I am ignoring you!

Yay! Thank you very much! You have shown, over a long time now, that you are very much a customer service person/company. And I for one appreciate it! I just wish some businesses *cough*Meso*cough* could learn from you how it's done. Luckily I have not yet routed the wires (whew!) so I'll just wait until the correct ones arrive.

Do you work for them? If so, any sales coming up on the Blitz bumper?

Sorry I don't, plus I ended up going with an RCI front bumper. I couldn't get confirmation that others would work with the TRD Pro front skid plate and I won't give it up because it cost me $400 dammit! lol
