Black Friday SALES at Hotshot Offroad

After much deliberation between the SS3 Pro's and SS3 Max's I ordered the SS3 Max yellow fogs (non backlit) this morning.
Excited to see how they perform together with the oem LED Headlights that I ordered over the weekend.

Appreciate the advice and the extended sale!

I ordered my SS3 Pro Fogs early in the morning on Monday the 22nd and they arrived yesterday, the 29th. I installed them this afternoon to replace my stock OEM Fogs. Working from the top without removing the grille or the wheel well plastic it took about an hour and 15 minutes. During the installation you have a 50/50 chance on each side of getting the polarity correct in the connection between the vehicle harness and the harness adapter that connects to the light fixture. On the driver side (that I did first) I was lucky and it worked first time. The passenger side I was not so lucky. Disconnecting the harness from the adapter blind and with only one hand was not fun and added about 20 minutes to the total install time. It would be nice if @Diode Dynamics keyed the adapter somehow so that it only fit one way. Now I just have to wait for dark to check them out

There is a plus and minus on the adapter. I too made this exact mistake, got the driver side first time (by chance) and then my husband came out to help me and asked which way the adapter connects (I had no idea there was a right and wrong way, lol) then I noticed the plus & minus on the adapter.

 

Interesting. If there were markings, I sure missed seeing them. There was a printed card in the box with mine... "If the light doesn't illuminate, reverse the connector". But even if mine did have markings, you would still need to know the polarity on the harness connector to get it plugged in correctly.
It would have been easier to reverse it if I hade removed the grille or the wheel well plastic to do the install, but overall I think I still probably saved time by working from the top.

 

UPS says December 3rd by 9pm. Hopefully have them installed this weekend. If you want them, I'd buy them while they're on sale.

 

I've been watching your sales on here for a few years but didn't know you had more than lights until this year. Haven't needed any fancy lights until your sale awakened something subconscious in me, I guess. Didn't know I needed yellow fogs and ditch lights...but here we are. I at least was able to abstain from buying another lightbar.
