    Hi everybody,

I was thinking about doing the BHLM on my 09. I have to admit that it does scare me a bit. I mean to take apart a perfectly good brand new light and stick it in the oven for 10 minutes at 300 degrees doesn't sound like a very intelligent thing to do. But I do like the way it looks and I think it would look good on my truck since it has black bumpers and fenders. The badges are off. My question is: are these head lights the same as the 08s? the tails are LEDs. Do you think the proceedure would be the same as described earlier? Thanks

if you do it your self make sure you don't touch the inside of the lense and afterwards depending on how long you leave it in the oven the head light lense might haze up in spots. and mke sure when you reheat them to put back together that you put a little extra sealing compound around them so they don't leak

The BHLM is sharp lookin. I say bite the bullet, grow some balls and do it. But if your still unsure of this then look on ebay. There are black headlights on there that look OEM. It just depends on if you wanna do it cheapily or if you wanna spend $150 or so.

Make sure you TURN OFF THE OVEN!!!!

It's a pretty easy mod once you suck it up.... just make sure you let the paint cure real good before putting it back together, also I recomend some silicone to seal it back up good.
