Any chance you could pull one of the black OEM lugs and measure the OD of the shank? I got some from E-bay but the OD is 21mm. My OEM lugs are 22mm. Worried about rounding. Also, they are gloss black so I'm not sure I'll be keeping them anyway. Thanks

Thanks but I am looking at the shank OD. The part that is in the wheel hole.

That is the OD of the lug bolt, not the OD of the lug nut. Will be 21 or 22mm.

    Sorry,
I'm just not understanding what information you're seeking.
The diameter of the thread is 14mm, with the thread count being 1.5.
The outer diameter of the OEM lug nut is 21mm, as shown in the photo.
So you want a mag seat lug of size 14mmx1.5 with a socket need of 21mm.

Are you asking to know how wide the mag apron of the lug nut is? that's larger than 21mm, which is where your last comment confuses me.

I appreciate the help and sorry for the confusion. I should have included a picture to start with. The shank is the part that goes into the wheel hole. I'm used to calling what you measured thr spanner or wrench width. In the attached pic, I'm looking for the measurement that is .68 in the first image. My concern is that the lugs i was sent measure 21mm but the OEM i have on the truck measure 22mm. Doesn't sound like much but i can see it tearing up the holes in the wheels over time. Maybe being a bit too particular. Does that make sense?

Here you go now that I know what you're hunting for. Plus a few others for good measure (I have spares from putting on the locks)

Take a ScotchBrite pad and lightly scuff the surface of the wheel lock to knock down the shine. Don’t scrub too hard or you risk removing the coating, leading to rust.

I just got some black wheels on my taco...
DT accidentally clicked the wrong selection & ordered me chrome nuts, no black..
They put them on & made me aware they needed to order the correct black nuts & will call me when they come in...
Reached out to a couple of my tire guys at work, that see tires everyday, & have multiple tricked-out rigs, mustangs, f150's FJ's, etc...
Along with the owner of the offroad performance shop that did my lift...
They all said keep the chrome nuts as black starts looking like shit in no-time from imaoct sockets, oxidation, etc...
All gave me the same advice...

I would say keep the chromes when the blacks come as part of your benefit for the error. Then you can make the call as time progresses, unless you like the look of course. Shops should be using appropriate sockets to minimize marring and damage when it's not a "regular" silver plated finish.

Yeah, I’m gonna call discount this morning and tell them to cancel the black ones they ordered.
Doubtful that they will credit me for the chrome ones and I will get them for free though…
    But I’m a bulldog, I will definitely try…:D

I just took my stock ones off and spray painted them. They look great. Do 3 off each wheel at a time. You don’t even need to jack up the truck. I popped off the front emblem and hit it with the same black. Mine is the bronze color. It looks way better blacked out. I bought some precut vinyl stickers to black out the metal part on the wheels too.

@capt.bob How are those painted lugnuts holding up? I am debating doing the same thing on my OR. Scuff up the chrome and then paint it satin black. Haven't looked around yet to see if there is a specific paint for this application that would be durable.
