So the forecast for eastern KY is showing rain for late Thursday in to Friday morning. Up to 1/2" of rain. Should make for a sloppy trail.

When we went there last year, wedrove down in a pouring rain. As we got to Harlan, it had just stopped raining. We drove in dust on the trails all day long. The terrain is so steep, rain runs right off. It has been so dry there, what does hit the ground will be absorbed almost immediately. From what I know about the place, a good rain might just settle the dust and make conditions ideal.

Day before yesterday, it was windy here. I looked out the back door about mid day and thought it was foggy. A closer look and it was just dust blowing. It's about as dry as it can get here. We just had a little shower about 1/2-hour ago. 10 minutes after it quit, everything was bone dry again. It would be a good thing to get some rain and settle the dust. I much prefer to trail ride with windows open.

Rain or shine, dust or mud I don't care. Got a whole list of things to knock out today and tonight. For those camping the forecast is showing low temperatures dipping in to the upper 30s so don't forget to pack an extra layer and blanket.

Hate that I have to miss out on this meet when people are actually going and not backing out like last time. Make sure to take plenty of pictures and lets get another one up soon!

Most of our stuff is already packed, the bulk already in the truck! Going to Kroger in just a few minutes to get the rest of the food and drinks. All we have to do tomorrow is to put ice in the coolers, go by the bank and get some cash out of the ATM, and take the dogs to the kennel. We'll roll out of the driveway around 11AM, maybe a few minutes prior.

Looks like we're back to 5 vehicles again......Up and down.....

I'm really trying to make this trip happen. Just trying to find a way to explain it to the wife so last minutes to be gone all weekend! hah. Plus I have tickets to the UofL football game Saturday.

Trust me I want to come in a bad way! I could use some time outdoors for sure. Still awaiting to hear back from couple friends. Lots of car time for one to be by themselves!

Sell the tickets and tell the wife this trip will actually make you money. Problem solved.

Edit: I bet I could help sell the tickets if you're in the 'Ville if it's even a possibility.

Push comes to shove, I've got a CO2 inflation rig. I've used the current tank 2 times. It has enough pressure for another round at minimum. Should do 2 or 3 more sets.

I believe Putney has a compressor too.
