After this past weekend of camping without preparation I wrote up a list of all the things that I would like to have for next time. Thanks guys for letting me borrow your stuff. I had a really good time and the wife will be joining next time as well.

We really enjoyed having you along with us for the ride!

I'm going to try to get Sandy to camp at least one night on the next trip! It's been one year since her first off road trip. (2015 Black Mountain Fall Meet) At first, I was a bit apprehensive. But....It took all of 10 minutes to figure out she enjoys this stuff as much as I do.

I'm getting a big response from the Midwest Overlander group for a spring meet.

Just pulled out the 2017 planner.....The dates for next fall's meet are October 20th, 21st, and 22nd. (May add Thursday the 19th) Appropriately enough, the 22nd will be National Nut Day!

Look forward to seeing many more of you there!

Looks like my truck didn't want to leave Harlan and brought a little piece back home. No clue how that lasted 300+ miles since Sunday morning under there and with rolling along the interstate at around 75mph. It would have done some damage to the poor soul behind me had it came out on the interstate.

Start building your own mountain at home!

All I brought home was dirt.

that's a sizable chunk! My squeaky pulley turned out to be the water pump that decided to leak most of my coolant onto the parking lot at my work building yesterday. Sure glad that didn't happen on the trip. I get to attempt to limp it home today 30 miles. yay.. Everyone else made it out of Harlan alive?

Welp here's the view from the passengers seat. Should have used more skinny pedal and grabbed another gear.

@Bluegrass Taco You got those still photos from this hill?
