Chrome. Most chrome accessories have a life time warranty and the black only has 5 yrs. I plan on keeping my truck for a LONG time :D I've got an Impulse Red truck and have the chrome 5" wide steps and a chrome grill guard (although I painted the skid plate black).

But, don't go for the chrome bug shield or window visors - that's too much.

I vote black. Plus, black is harder for the popo's radar gun to be accurate. Chrome is like "OVER HERE HIT ME HIT ME I WANNA TICKET!!!" I say this, and my sr5 has chrome all over. lol

But as for the rims.. I vote black with a chrome or pref polished aluminum lip... sick rims are sick.

black looks good, but everyone and their grandma has it. If you wanna be unique go chrome, just don't get some huge rediculous chrome wheels

I don't care which you chose, but few have mentioned the practical differences.

Black = Paint which gets scratched easily, but is easy to repaint.

Chrome = harder to scratch, but is very expensive to re-chrome.

I think Chrome will hold up better to regular use, but black is easier to repair. If you off road then I would do black because you will scratch your truck off road, but if you don't off road it chrome will hold up and stay nice looking longer. Chrome resists rock chips better than paint, but that depends on the size of the rock.

I would agree that you can have too much chrome, and I think black can be over done too.

    How about some Black Chrome?
