Right on, thanks for the positive viewpoint! I'm definitely going to keep an open mind. Digging the look is easier and cheaper than trying to paint or replace the trim piece.

Went down to the Napa, Ca dealership today to look at the white TRD Sport they got in and it had the same dash!! I couldn't believe it had that red dash on a white truck. It looked dumb. I passed.

Saw one in Super White today. All white truck and that stupid orange ring around the dash. Looked odd

Yea, I had no idea as well. It's pretty dumb. They should either color match or go neutral. White truck? White trim. Blue truck? Blue trim. etc... I like the orange trim personally, but I also like the orange truck. It would look stupid on anything else, except maybe the black.

You are incorrect. Your order with the black and orange interior will have the orange dash surround

I like the black interior with the orange stitching and orange trim.

However, I am leaning towards Quicksand exterior and it is kinda weird combo... tan & orange
But then I definitely don't want grey interior :annoyed:

I guess, since inferno is my second choice for the exterior, it simply may make sense to get that. :taco:

My dealer indicated that the Toyota allocation tool only has two options for the Inferno interiors - black, and black with RED accents. Do we think the latter is actually the orange trim??

Lets clear things up here. You can get the blk/orange interior in any exterior color, and it will have the orange dash trim. You can also get an inferno truck with the grey interior which will have no orange inside. Black truck with blk/orange interior is nice, Inferno ext, with blk/orange int., really nice, MGM with blk/orange, not so nice. Now, lets make this a little more confusing, this applies to the TRD models. The SR5 you can get blk/red interior, and that will have red door panel trim with red stitch in seats, no red dash ring.

That depends on what model truck. If SR5 it will be RED. If TRD, it will be orange.

I have a Black AC TRD OR that came with the Orange trim and stitching. The dealer ordered the wrong interior. I took possession, they replaced the trim ring with gray at the dealer and I dyed the stitching black with a sharpie. Turned out great. I like the black seats. The orange trim was way too loud for me.

If I buy one in any color except inferno I think I'll have the trim rings painted to match exterior color or do a nice grey or something to break it up but not be too over the top. Then as for the stiching I could always just put leather in it

I did see on here a quicksand with matching interior. Didn't care much for the door skins because the color seemed off but it might of just been the picture. Didn't know it was an option in that color

That was most likely the SR5 with the caramel accents.

So that's only available in SR5?

Anything that has the door panel trim colored will be SR5, I am not sure if SR is included. Yes, the caramel is only in the SR5, as far as I can remeber. I had a list of available interior options for each model, but don´t have it in front of me at the moment.

My white offroad has the orange bezel. It's a matte "brushed" finish and rather subdued in person, I don't mind it at all. High gloss plastic really iritates me though, one of my biggest complaints with the current trailedition-premium 4runner's is their shiny black plastic dash.

It's super confusing on toyotas website. I've tried to build a few different configurations and when you go to add tow package it says that it can't me added with certain colors and stuff. Retarded. Well in a few months I'll go check them out and see what we have on our lot. I'll prob just by what I like/if I like. The sr5 I was building was already at 34k and I didn't even add entune or anything to it. Seems at that price to just get a sport or off-road

The problem with the Toyota website is when you try to build, it only allows what is available in your area. If you changed zip codes you could see different configurations. I don´t know why they can´t let you build what you want and then tell you where that truck is located. Yes, all of the SR5 trucks on the lot in my area are just as much if not more than the TRD models. I have found cars.com to be a better tool than the toyota web site. Using cars.com you can then link to the dealers website and then you can check their inventory from there. So, if you want to use the builder on toyota.com, put in another zip code and see what happens. It sounds to me like you shoud go for a TRD model, unless you don´t want the scoop, or black fender flares, or chrome grill, but then again, I am sure there is a SR5 owner that would swap hoods and grills if you got a sport.
