After owning my Super White DCLB TRD 4x4 for two months I got tired of squinting into the sun from the reflection thrown off by the hood, particularly the hood scoop, so I decided to do something about it. I had KB Signs (a local graphics shop) apply flat black vinyl to the hood, but in a stylish, factory look design. The results are very pleasing and best of all, no more glare! Price was very reasonable at under $250.

Looks great, good way to break up all that white.

I did a variation on this, had a carbon fiber wrap done to my roof, very pleased with it.

    Looks great.

And very effective to boot. They do that with the Trooper cruisers and a lot of the State DOT vehicles up here. The vinyl application is a smart way to go.

Love the way you followed the hood lines and overlapped the grill. Gonna have to look into swiping this design for mine. Great job.

My taco is MGM. I was thinking of a other color besides black son it would stand out a little more. Figured to long as it was a flat color it should still dull the reflection. Maybe a dark red?
