    Hey guys,

For the past year + I've been seeing this black residue show up on my shell and truck that comes from the windoors on my Snugtop Rebel shell. It shows up any time it rains (I live in the Pac. Northwest :annoyed:) and appears to be coming from the weather stripping I've circled in these pictures. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Thinking of cleaning the weather stripping with an acetone or something but not sure. Any advice or input would be much appreciated. Thanks & Happy Holidays!image2.jpgimage1.jpg

More then likely is a combination of dirt, fine dust organic debris or deteriorating black window chalking. Hopefully, it's not the actual window gasket.

SnugTop parts are for the most proprietary and exclusive to their dealers. Which usually means " expensive ". I would proceed with caution when trying to clean (acetone) any seals or weather stripping which could be corrosive to some very expensive parts. Research what manufacturers or their dealers suggest for remedies to your issue.
