    I liked the idea when I saw the Expedition Overland taco with it done. I called the shop that did it for them and they said $350 for just the hood. They said it would last 2 to 3 years and then have to be redone. Still on the fence.

    I wouldn’t pay more than $150 for a hood blackout. No more than $350 for for a hood & roof blackout. And make sure they use 3m or Avery Dennison or name brand vinyl.

    The warranty from 3M or Avery Dennison is 3-5 years for fading, chipping, or cracking. I have seen a few box trucks go for longer than the 5 year mark and sill looks great. Only reason it would need to be redone is if it’s installed incorrectly and or you want a new color.
