Hey guys - Has anyone replaced their cargo lens with either a blacked out or smoked lens? I have done a few searches and cant seem to find any for the Tacoma.

    Thanks!

No one makes a smoked replacement AFAIK.
Tinting the brake will greatly reduce the cargo light output FYI

I thought about that and maybe why I can't find one.

Received my LED turn signals and headlight trim pieces today. Installed the signals today and the trim will go on Saturday. Thanks for the quick ship they look awesome!IMG_2149.jpg

Awesome! I'm not against smoked.. you just need to beef up the inside LED's to make up for the light lost with tint. Putting tint over a stock light while keeping the facotry internal lights will definitely lose performance. But it looks cool!

Agree 100%. Not totally convinced its a go yet but if I do will have to come up with a combination that's a good balance.

I've got an Access Cab, which doesn't have a cargo light. It's an all red 3rd brake light. If possible, I'd like to make the 3rd brake light brighter/more noticeable. I've thought about adding a brake light modulator. Brighter bulbs would be nice too. Do you have recommendations for really bright replacement bulbs?

I tinted mine with VHT Nightshade spray. 2 light coats, then clear coat.
Wasn’t able to buy Meso’s third brake lights yet. So just wanted a temporary fix. Here it is.

That looks really sharp! Are those the stock lights or did you bump up the output?

    Stock.
Brake lights are still bright. (Important to me)
Cargo lights not so much. (Not important to me)
But I have LED bed lights and a cover. Don’t need the cargo lights to be bright.
But, I still want to get Meso’s new 3rd break light when they are available.
If you see those, you will instantly want it.

I'm with you on the importance of the brake lights and not so much on the cargo. I just took a look at the Meso light thread and its pretty nice looking for sure.
