Has anyone had success removing the black sticker on the top portion of the drivers side windshield? I asked the dealership and they seemed to frown on it saying it could potentially damage the glass.

On my 2018 Sport there is a blacked out spot on my windshield behind the mirror. It only sticks out about 3" on each side. My Gopro mount is mounted on it. Looks like it wraps around the radar camera box also.

I just had the tint shop put a sun strip across the top of my glass and match the ends with that black piece.

You mean the dotted tint behind the rear view mirror,do not remove it,the chance of the glass cracking or breaking is huge,as these windshields are very thin and cheap.

Good luck removing something that is bonded to the glass. Why?

My dealer removed that when they did the first service. They didn't mention it or anything, but it is gone now and wasn't before.

Whatever that is would have to go. It would be right in my line of sight.

It seems to be a thick sticker. I want to do an eyebrow tint on the windshield and this damn thing is in the way. I see Deacon Blues doesn’t have it on his windshield either.

There isn't one on mine either.

I don't have any clear pics of that area on hand.

It is in the top left corner of my wind shield. Though it hasn’t really bothered me.

Your dealer is full of it.

Might scratch the glass if they let some junior camper go at it with a scraper, but anybody who takes their time and carefully removes it won't damage the glass.

You can remove it. Carefully lift one of the corners until you can grab it, and then slowly pull it off. A little Goo-gone, or WD40 will help. Cover your dash with a towel if you use either of those products, so they don't drip on to it.

Man, that thing wouldn't have lasted ten seconds if it was left on my truck.

I have forgotten about it but since I am doing the tint on the windshield it needs to go. Thanks.
