Pollen is invasive. It gets into every crevasse.
Invest in a pressure washer. You'll find other uses for it.

It looks clean! Love it. I’ve just learn to love what black looks like from afar. Not within 5 feet lol

It's not just a problem for black Tacomas. Ceramic coating will help a little but doesn't come close to curing the issue.
I just wash my Tacomas once in a while and put up with it for a month. There's worst things in life.

☝️ And weekly run through the touchless car wash. Then spray wax or instant detailer with microfiber. Lots of up keep during spring but it’s worth it.

Oh if only it was a month! San Antonio is ridiculous with pollen. It should be around for 3 months or more, which is absurd but I can definitely deal for the time being. I still think it will be beneficial to put on the coating nevertheless.

Personally, I can not stand silver vehicles. It was between the white and black and the black on black just looked way cleaner to me :)

Yup - I've got a silver one too. Pollen and dirt isn't quite as visible on it, but when pollen season hits here in Houston, especially pine pollen, I still like to rinse it off pretty often. Unfortunately the pollen does show up more and seems to stick more to my black tonneau cover.

Once you go black, you never go back...

...to black, because it's such a pain to keep clean and at the smallest amount of anything it doesn't look so good anymore.

ignore it until the pollen stops. Its not worth the struggle of getting it off every single day. Ceramic coating won't help much in that situation either

Think I’ll just coat her in mud. Nothing else will look foreign at that point lol

I live in NC on a mile long dirt road with a black Tacoma. I just spray my truck down with a water hose on the weekends and clean it with soap and a pressure washer every 4-6 weeks.

Washed and waxed mine yesterday. Went inside for 20 mins came back out and it was covered in pollen. Blew it off with the leaf blower. It was covered again this morning. Fighting a losing battle with a black vehicle.

I use this too. It works wonders in just 2 minutes. I got a TRD OR in MGM and is just as bad as the black with the pollen. And I had the same space issue with the garage space. So I turned my workbench into a folding one hanged from the back wall of the garage and when I need it. I park outside. I don’t like washing my cars too often. Water can become a problem on the long run.
I’ve looked all over for what I could use so the paint repels the dust or pollen. And there is just nothing.
