it doesn’t. Your supposed to just lightly run it over the surface. You don’t use it like a broom or a wax job. The thing is like a magnet and just lifts the stuff off of the surface. And this is what car collectors use. Those cars hardly ever touch water.

minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.
Even having ceramic coat on body, even rinsing truck every day, you still have it every morning! So, I change the point: I'm enjoying this light green/gray/ish dust on my black paint! Texture of color and play of light looks great! Wash once a week. Enjoy. Repeat!

My Taco is white, but I also have a black FJ Cruiser and I live in Georgia! I learned a long time ago just to learn and love it for about 4 weeks.

PS: been using a Commifornia Duster for a couple of decades now, they are fantastic!

Yea I know how they are used. Using them will scratch paint. Just because someone collects cars doesn't mean they know how to care for the paint. Pollen is like little spike balls and are very abrasive. This will just make a mess. Stay away from these junky products.

Ceramic coat and wait it out. Most of the heavy pollen will blow off your truck when you start to drive down the road. Washing it every other day is too labor intensive and rinsing it will only bring on water spots.

ha, if you didn’t swirl it how would you get to correct it?

the other poster is right, it’s a duster not a mop. You don’t scrub anything off and if it isn’t pollen or dust your going to be washing it anyways. We’re not talking about a water blade here..

Cali duster for pollen, QEW+MF for bird crap, and wash for dirt. Use the RO to correct any swirls when you detail every three months.

or you can just pretend your black truck is yellow if you like.

I'm in SA too due, and the pollen looks just as bad on a white truck. And I second the cali duster - I have one but never use it because I always forget that I have one, but they work pretty well. Basically I just rinse the truck off once a week until the pollen stops. You can really tell garage-kept vehicles from non-garage kept this time of year.

I keep my truck and bike in my garage and they still get covered in pollen. The California Duster is a life saver during pollen season.

I've used a California Car Duster on my '96 Z3 for many years - pollen, dust after a drive..it is perfect. Keep the paint waxed, use the duster lightly. I use Liquid Lustre for bird crap, tar, etc and hand wash when necessary. No car washes. Seems to have worked.

UPDATE: I was able to fit the taco in the garage after removing that makeshift workbench. Barely fits with about 1.5’ clearance in the front and rear but we got it in there boys!

2nd Gen chiming in. This past Wednesday after I washed it, and then an hour and a half later.

Not just black tacomas, grey tacomas. I remember washing it one evening and as I’m drying the truck, the pollen was falling on it.

Thanks bro. I got the Sports but I wish I would've went with the Pros for the ditch lights. Now my DD SS3 Sport fogs, I love those though!

This is 3 days after washing it. I've decided that moving forward, I'm not washing it during the month of April in NC and hope it rains occasionally.

Pollen is damaging on its own. But if it gets wet, is a lot more damaging. If you don’t clean it before rain. Might want to do it after it.
