@Parker315 I hate to break it to you but the above statement is correct, don't expect more HP from the mods. Our 3.5 V6 has potential but it comes from software tuning as many new vehicles today they are extremely efficient and the manufacturers have engineered the HP/TQ very well. You did gain better sound and maybe throttle response but gaining 20hp is unlikely. Enjoy the modding its fun to do for sure.

If there is less restriction getting air in and getting air out the car will accelerate and go through the revs faster than stock,
but still may have the same peak hp on the dyno at max rpms. Peak hp numbers sell cars.
Gen 3 taco has more peak hp than gen 2 but gen 2 is faster. My 3Rd gen v6 truck is definitely quicker with the trd intake tires even light up on occasion. They never lit up ever with stock intake.
If you have never installed these on you tacoma you are just guessing that there is no performance gains. And if you had you would know for sure there is.

If you've never had the same truck on a dyno on the same day with the different mods installed, then you are just guessing at performance gains. Also, I'll put my 3rd gen up against your 2nd gen. With the ETC button down, it will be damn close.

Where is the solid proof that Toyota genuine parts like the TRD CAI and TRD Pro Exhaust reduce your torque.

Hey OP, nice exhaust pipe. It's often hard to decide if black out or chrome is the style. Good to know folks have both options in OEM parts. Thanks for posting pics for everyone.

I had a 2nd gen 4x2 v6 it was much quicker off the line than my 3rd gen. Wheels never lit up on 3Rd gen till I installed trd intake.
Proof for me is that my tires now light up on occasion, dyno won't tell you this.

That's not proof. That's typical butt dyno. You could be pressing the gas harder. Your tires might be losing their tread/worn in. You could be on different asphalt/road. There's a thousand things that can be different. That's not proof.

I promise you, your TRD intake didn't make your truck suddenly start doing burnouts.

Yep. I went to Pep Boys and found a nice one(SPD?) for $25. Heavy duty black texture with simple 3 bolts to attach. No shims or spacers.
