Okay TW. I've been torn for a while now whether or not to paint my valance under my lower grill black or not??? I have a black TRD skid plate and a Avidoffroad light bar that is painted black. I originally thought the contrast looked better with the valance being stock white but now I'm wondering if it would look better black?!?! What does everyone think I should do???? Help a brotha out!!!:frusty:

Get some black vinyl and put it there. If you don't like it you can just take it off. That is what I am going to do when I find the time.

You could try just some black construction paper, look at it from a distance, and get a feel for it. The avid bar really kinda throws it off imo (not a fan of them to start with). I'd also worry with that black trd skid it'll make a large gaping hole that looks weird like the new evo's.

Get the Black Valance Vinyl from sockmonkey...I painted mine and it chips so easy, even after 6 coats of Krylon Fusion and 5 layers of clear coat!!!! I'm gonna sand all that paint off, clean it and then put one of his vinyls on mine! Its way more durable and it won't chip or fade :) I think it looks cool

I for one think you should leave it WHITE. It's a good contrast.

I wouldn't do it. The combo of the Avid light bar and black valance would make it appear as though you have a "bull bar." I can't stand those things. Bleh

I vote to leave it white. The vinyl idea works too so you can remove it when or if you don't like the look.

WHITE!!! It would look goofy with the black skid and light bar

I would use vinyl. I think that's what I am going to do as well. The vinyl will make it easier to change back if I do indeed not like it.

I say leave it white for the contrast. The light bar/skid plate won't stand out with everything the same color.

well i voted paint it but now that i look at it more I would leave it white. there is already a bunch of black going on up front. if the bumper part was black it would all blend together and you wouldnt notice the avid bar or skid as much
