Bought mine in February... Finally installed before the end of July. Right on schedule.

I went quick as this is a temporary thing until I get new wheels so I wasn't concerned about being perfect, but from 5 feet away or more I can't tell I rushed and left some bubbles. Very happy.

Blackout package - planned: black bed logos, black wheel vinyls, front seat window tint, tires.
Rather than overlapping the wings, has anyone tried to use an X-acto knife or razor blade to cut them, so the wing edges butt up against each other?

Just finished doing mine - 17 Quicksand OR. The first couple were painful, but after that, I got the hang of it. I applied mine with the wheels on the truck. I think it would be easier to do if the wheels were off, but I don't think it is worth the hassle to dismount and remount.

My method that evolved after some trial and error, was to align the wide piece closest to the hub first. Just overlap it to the inside edge slightly, and work out from there, doing the thin "wings" last. There is no advantage to cutting the wings to a butt fit - just overlap. I found the pieces applied to the bottom of the wheel (6:00 position) worked easiest, because I could visually align the widest part to the inside edge, and kind of use gravity to let the wide pieces of the "V" fall and line up (if that makes sense). The pieces at 12:00 were the hardest, as I was pushing up on the vinyl sides of the "V". I have some pieces with no air bubbles, and a few with some very small air bubbles. This will make more sense, once you start doing the application.

Looks great for the $ spent. If you were to closely look at the wheels, you can see it's vinyl, but if no one told you, you would never know from 6 feet away.

Your experience is much like mine. Working on the lower sections is much easier, but still don't have the hang of it quite yet. After finding out the lower ones were easier for me, I started rolling the truck forward to work the next one in line at the bottom of the wheel. First wheel probably took me an hour last night...I hope the remainder go more quickly.

After putting the truck in the sun this morning, I'm already seeing some of the bubbles disappear.
