I would recommend doing the wings last... make sure the “u” lines up and then smooth out.

With the gravel or dirt already there I don’t know if glue would hold it down. You can always try!! Or if you want a single sheet with 6 more they are $10.00 shipped.

Did you line it up edge to edge at the bottom of the U or did you leave a sliver to fold over?

Also was it easier applying towards the top of th wheel or applying at the bottom. I’m thinking about inching the vehicle out so each piece I apply is at the top or bottom. That way I don’t have to twist.

Here's my application of the vinyls. Waited a few weeks for the temps to warm up, but happy with them now.
In so far as looks, im VERY pleased. If you do them, be sure to TAKE YOUR TIME!. They will come out as nice as the time you put into them.

How long did it take you to put these on? Will the Vinyl come off if you get a new tire put on?

I'd have to guess about the time to apply; in order to facilitate doing the 'top' of the wheel (two segments at a time), I would apply the top two, them move the truck to get (approximately) 120° of rotation for the next two.... Not to mention I did the passenger side evening One, driver side Day Two....
Each wheel in total?: perhaps an hour per wheel. I'm probably at the Long-time end of the spectrum; but I also have a long history of Perfection, not to mention "Over building" things, and doing things in a manner of trying to eliminate any possibility of failure. In this case, Product failure.
All this said, I've very VERY pleased with the product, the application, AND the looks.
Many thanks to the developers, and their combined family care and accomplishments.

I believe I read one individual in here which commented on the tire work/damaging the vinyls possibility. He stated that he told the tire people to be careful because of the vinyls, and he got the truck back without any issues.
Makes sense; there are some Very expensive and VERY delicate wheels out there in this world. Damage by a tire shop would not be acceptable.

Thanks, I really like the look this gives for the affordability of the vinyl. I will likely just remove the wheel, clean, and apply the vinyls if I go this route. Thanks for the input, they look really good.

About the "Staying power" of the vinyls; its the same with Any automotive vinyl. Windows, paint....
Look at the Mountain decal on my truck. Its fairly delicate, and has been through multiple washings, road trips, etc over 2+ years... Zero flaws to date.

I'm the same way. Good to know I should expect up to an hour per wheel :anonymous:

    Great reference point.

Always will be a chance depending how you abuse it. But should withstand most standard abuse. Washings etc.

@Kabogski So the limited wheels are a bit rough since they are not flat like the OR and sport. Plus with how light they are you would still have the inside a light grey.
