Thinking about blacking out all the emblems and tailgate letters on my blue Tacoma. Anyone got any picture of theirs all blacked out?
Also anyone who has blacked it out, did you plastidip or purchase emblem overlays? What would you recommend?

I don’t have a picture, but blacking out emblems is always a good idea no matter what color taco you have...in my opinion. The less chrome the better. I plastidipped mine on my cement taco.

Plastidip. Tinted windows, and MESO turn signals.

How do you find the plastidip holds up in the weather?

I originally bought the overlay kit, but eventually debadged my rig.

So far so good. This has only been on for about a month, but on my Scion TC, I had it on for a 3 years.

Plastic Dip will be the cheapest route but imo looks cheap. It can with stand the weather. If it starts to peel; either peel off or touch up again with the dip.

Prime and paint is another alternative but its a tedious job. Last longer and looks nicer imo.

Overlays are pricey but its straightforward simple and clean.

For the tailgate letters, I went with Amazon. Search for Seven Sparta Tacoma.

On my 2000, I plastidipped the Tacoma and SR5 badges. Ut looks good for awhile but over time either fades or may start to peel. Of course it is very simple to peel it off once a year and re-do it , which was my remedy.
