We'll recently I finally got around to getting rid of the last orange on my truck and decided to tint the tail lights to get rid of the orange and red to keep the variations of colors down! Wanted to get some opinions though on if you guys like it or not?

Also before people say no because it makes it for other vehicles to see I didn't do many coats and up close you can still slightly see orange and red reflector and at night time light up really we'll! No issues so far with police but we'll see...

I've had mine tinted for almost 6 months and I've had no problems. Mine are tinted 65% and I added a tail gate brake light strip just for some extra protection against dumbasses. I like it!

That's not a bad idea...you are talking about like the strip between the bumper and tailgate right?

In person you can see the orange and red closer up just in this pic they look darker since I took the pic further away...they are still really visible and light output is really good. Obviously not as bright as stock but still bright

I like the look! I did it on my truck because I was going for all black and white (it was nice to get rid of the orange). :D

    The LEDs shine thru nicely!

And the LED reverse light is still bright as hell!

    Bone stock for now....
I voted yes because I encourage others to do it, but like mine stock. If I can convince enough people to black out, I will effectively have a custom look at zero cost.

I'm on the fence about tinting my tail lights as well. I think it looks better with a black bumper. Tinted tail lights and a shiny chrome bumper don't go well together.

ive had mine tinted for 6 months and i really like it... (white on black) i only sprayed one light coat of the lens spray stuff (forgot what it was called) like u said in the daylight you can still see the orange and red if your less then 10' away and at night you cant tell a difference really

the problem i have is in utah its illegal. now i dont have any problem being pulled over now that i quit smoking weed. but a friend of mine is currently in jail (45 day term) because he was pulled over for his taillights being tinted (same as mine/we both did the mod at the same time with the same can) and he had some warrants... sooo he shouldnt have painted his. but if i got pulled over id play the dumb card and say i didnt know and probably end up with a warning.

noo with tint the lower the percent the less amount of light, my taillights allow 65% of light to pass through.

    I stand corrected.

You still blocked 35% of the visibility of your talilights.
