How retro! I remember doing the tinted headlights and tails in the late 80's / early 90's. Making me all nostalgic.

It is illegal in the state of Georgia. Not sure about other states. I will not ever tint anything on my truck for reasons of safety.

With the way people drive around here(tourists).
HEADLIGHTS painted red(and used as brakelights) would help.( just joking)
Brighter the stop indicator-the better. Of course NOT BLINDING.
Defensive driving is a MUST-the more visibility-the better.

Personally, I think red LEDs would look better on your truck. You have chrome and alloy silver, and I don't really see the purpose in the blacked out tail lights. My truck is black and white only, so when I had to replace the tails, I got the black tint... but I'm a little indifferent about it. I don't think it looks good on most trucks.

as you can tell you can still see the orange a little and same with the white and red.

I like the look if it matches the rest of the truck's accents, but for the obvious legal and safety concerns I would not do it.
However there are options available (ebay) that are more like the bhlm but have clear lenses, so they look dark, but light output is not compromised.

I have smoked headlights. They look dark on the pictures, but don't really affect the light output. It is real smoked lenses, not a dark coating.

I like the look but from my last experience with them I'll probably never tint them again. Maybe with the led reverse lights it's not so noticeable, but on my f150 the tinted tail lights made reversing at night a major pain in the ass.

Don't care for tinted tail lights. I see no use for it. Serves no purpose. .

i voted no because i had mine tinted and was always afraid to turn right off the main street during the daylight because they were hard as hell to see. i bought the ebay led ones and thought about tinting these but i would rather spend my money elsewhere until my truck is done

And they look good on rear-ended trucks.

Having experienced the joys of slamming on my brakes because I didn't realize brake lights were on, I'm not a fan.

super light tint fine but anything really noticeable is dangerous and illegal.

If you get rear ended you will lose.

My stock tail lights work fine. No need to change a thing tint or anything else.
