Mine was mostly welded with the cage dropped, but Nick cut the cab to fully 360 weld the top of the back of the cage.

    Thanks Aaron.

I've also considered just taking the plasma cutter and cutting the entire roof off for the cage build, then welding it back on. But that's a lot of committment lol.

When I get back from Afghanistan the first two weeks of leave I am pretty much dedicating to relaxing at the house and working on the truck. I have two-three days worth of repairs/upkeep to do and another five days to LT the rear end and do a lot of other small projects.

A few weeks after that I will take another two weeks of leave and plan to drive through Kansas and Colorado to get to Utah, and spend some time at Moab.

Considering starting the cage at that point. Still trying to figure out a way that I can get the main tube work in, drive the truck to work, but still be able to drop it down to 360 weld and then mount to the frame.

The truck will definitely get caged, it's just a matter of when. Anytime I see a 2nd gen get caged I study all of the pictures and learn as much as I can from it.

Can't complain that the dome light isn't bright enough now.

More like,"Don't stare at the dome light. You'll go blind."
