I was looking at that today. I was about to get it but i had to make sure.

Will it hide the "dents"(from bugs) in the emblem

Just sand it down. It should be good. I bet the bug dents will only be notice if you stop and stare at the emblem. Your planning to do it black, so the bug dents should not be easy to spot.

Yeah thats what Im thinking. The spray paint should fill up most of the dents.

Falt black will help out a bunch too

Since we're on this topic, do you think if I blacked mine out that it would look good or not? I'm trying to decide since the grill surround will still be (fake) chrome.

    Yep, that's where it starts....

Besides, it's not like the emblem isn't the focal point of the front of the truck or anything.

If you have dents, might wanna consider hammered paint. Just a thought.

I would recommend sanding before you paint it. I didn't sand mine and its starting to peal and flake off, so now I need to repaint it.

I'm going to do this to mine as well, but in all of the reading I've done about this, I've not read any instructions on how to remove the front emblem.

Do it just pop out? Or are there screws from the back?
