If the engine blew tomorrow I would just drop another engine in it and I would still be ahead considering what I've saved over the last 23 years from not doing "feel-good" maintenance. I've kept it in VERY GOOD condition and would not hesitate a minute to dropping $4000-$5000 in it if needed.

I do plan on getting oil tested and will report back with results.

you had the luxury of insider information? and experience from the auto parts business that you went 'against the grain' of the norm? ... with the other fluids
    just plain remarkable!

I commend you, I have always been a Castrol guy since doing my first oil change at 16. And when I got my truck several years back that’s what I used. Just in the last 4-5 month I swapped to the pennzoil syn mainly because the reputation was excellent and it was only $3-4 more than the conventional castrol. I too was a fram user for years. But when YouTube got popular those videos slammed fram, however it’s just the original orange filters from what I’ve seen. I bought a case of Toyota filters and been using those.
Looking forward to your oil report!

You could easily run this to 7,500 miles without even a tiny hint of concern. Mail me that used oil and I'll run it for another 5,000 miles. There is almost 0 wear in this engine.

I dont think i've seen 0 Lead after a 4,000 mile run ever. Even with a oil cooler, you're reporting nearly no Copper. Try comparing this report with any GM vehicle haha.

I've never actually had the oil in my car changed. it's the same stuff it rolled off the factory floor with.

I just got my report back from Blackstone for the 2014 with over 100,000 miles. Its had Mobil 1 and 10,000 miles intervals since I changed the factory oil. The report came back excellent and recommended a 12,000 miles interval. I will keep 10,000 miles changes as I have 4 Toyota vehicles to maintain.

Believe it or not, in my area, Home Depot usually has Penzoil cheaper than auto parts stores.

If Toyota felt like they could recommend 7,500 intervals for light duty work using dino oil, it shouldn't be any surprise to anyone that a 10k interval with synthetic (or even 12k) can be normal.

I got a sample kit on the way so I can test the oil in my truck. 326k miles on my 5vz 3.4L. I’ve always changed my oil every 3-5k miles with Toyota filters, Toyota oil or Mobil 1

    OME and worth every penny.
I believe it. Auto parts stores stay in business from oil sales. Wally is cheaper than they are.

Actually, motor oil is typically one of the lowest profit items in an auto parts store.

Just fill your engine oil filler to the top then you never have to worry about oil changes ever again

Did you know if a woman gives birth to her baby underwater that baby will be able to live its entire life underwater?
