First oil change done at 4800 miles. Kind of disappointed with the results.
Anyone have these type of results ?
Will continue to have my oil analyzed and keep oil changes every 5K miles

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
How is it disappointing when the report says “few new engines get a clean review”. You will be fine, these things are a waste of money. There’s members here with 150k on their 2016 tacomas and they run fine.

Blackstone labs inducing paranoia in Chad since 1985, but Rachel seems to have zero issues with basic maint.

If Chad's lipid panel looked this good

Why so sad? This is a normal first report. Nothing special in there. It takes 10K to sort itself out and wear in.

IMO it's a waste of money, but they do a good job of getting normies to buy in to the service.

I could maybe understand if you had some stupid expensive engine out of warranty, but this is Camryville

This is part of the reason why some of us still do the "break in" oil change within the first 1000 miles or so, because of this. It's all normal.

Yep, exactly, its not a big deal and truthfully we'd all be fine with we stuck with 10k 1st change as well. No one is keeping these engines until 750k, it rusts out before the engine goes to shit.

It's data. Data is never stupid.
What this data does is show that Toyota's OCI is right, and everyone's dad and backyard mechanic and grandpa is wrong.

I'll dump my oil every six months just to piss people off.

I'm at 1825 for total miles now and the oil has been changed twice.

I probably should have done the 10k and 20k tests, but I wasn't changing the oil then. As Blackstone suggests, it's breaking in. It would have been cool to confirm though.

You can click on one of the links in my signature to see what my trends are.

Most people probably don't need to do the tests as they will likely upgrade before 100,000 miles and that shouldn't be an issue.

I intend on keeping mine (might have to go bigger for a camper some day) and generally turn my own wrenches. Seeing when the bearings start to go, blow by increases, coolant creeps into the oil is why I do it. I'd like to be ahead of the curve and plan the repairs before I get stranded.
