    Great info! Makes me want custom coilovers but I'm still very happy with the Fox's and the DB ride quality vs 3 lift!!

    How do you adjust your preload on these? I bought the spanner wrench straight from BDS. Do do it while leaving the Coilovers on or so U have to remove them for more room? And just loosen that Allen bolt right?

    You should not have a problem with your shocks by just lowering the rear an inch or so...aww shit as I am typing this I am remembering that those BDS Fox rear shocks are actually a bit too long :/ sorry no solution for that but you are on the right track thinking about relocation your mounts to fit that rear shock properly.

    Ya I left the c/o's on, just get the weight off the coilover.

    For swapping the coils there are 2 c clips at the bottom of the c/o that come off once you compress the spring

    There really is no need for custom coil overs until you have uniball uppers and lowers which equates to " extended mid travel " IE 9-10" of travel. Part of the problem is that all of these 6" kits are sold as " for 35" tires " but in reality with the truck sitting at 6" you still need to cab mount chop and beat the poo out of your pinch weld etc...and all the variables with leaf springs and how high the ass end sits so we all instinctively pre load the front end to create more clearnace and level the truck etc which leads to these issues. I needed new coil overs badly because my PC's were toast and when I got my uppers and lowers and cycled the suspension realized I could milk more travel with paying a bit more for custom CO's...truly not necessary until you have uni balls top and bottom. Those Fox CO's you guys have are great you just have to set your ride height closer to the mid point of the shock stroke.

    When you switched to the 18" coilovers, did it raise the front end any? Also, did you lose any up or down travel from adding a larger coilover?

    Update:

    Same BDS fox c/o's just went from 16" #600LB eibach coil to a 18" #650

    It raised it a tad and technically makes you lose down travel

    I just want to know how you got 16 inch coil on your shock. I put a 14 inch shock on my icon and there was barely any room.
