Story Time:

I have this 'neighbor' - they live diagonally behind me
Couple + three young kids
Wife is a fucking bitch, like no doubt, we all know it, rude/doesn't wave, doesn't talk to anyone, fucking bitch
Her husband at least has manners but he ain't around a lot
The kids are not poorly behaved

Anyways, I am walking my dog by their place yesterday and I see the boy [oldest, maybe 7] in the front yard
Poor kid is playing catch by himself . . . .
His sisters, mom/grandma are all in the house
There is a clear gender divide and this poor boy is just left all alone cause his dad works all the time
I wanted to get my glove and go play catch with him cause I felt really bad but that would be inappropriate and I'm sure his mom would raise all kinds of stink
I waved and said hello to him as I walked by and he responded in kind [he didn't learn that from bitch mom . . . ]

It just made me really sad that he seems all alone
He doesn't seem like a bad kid either
[this isn't the first time i've gotten that impression but it was the clearest]

 

Stuff like that is really sad..I have 2 houses next door,both have young girls about the same age..We all talk,but I've never seen them let the Kids play together...So how do you really feel about the mom..

Not yet, stuff is just starting to get going...got some tomatillos also. Plants look nice...if they decide to fill up its going to be crazy.

 

The girls play with this other neighbor's girls

And we have another 2 households with girls that also play together

There are two boys that are of similar age that live kinda across the street [very poorly behaved]but they are only there some of the time due to shared custody so they don't play

I feel bad for the kid
And I don't like that his mom is making him feel left out, she makes like zero effort with him
Dad is an engineer - I rarely see him, even on the weekends -
