I was thinking about one of these for my build, but probably much more appropriate for a 4 link truck. I think you could squeeze it in. :D

Got some tornado makers yesterday, still have to buy fittings and some sweet blue gnar hose then finish up my mount for them, doing a single 3/8 strap across then simple tabs off to mount them, then some small 1x1 angle underneath so it doesn't bow in the middle. Next up is my new chase light and then maybe a jack. have 2 40mm ammo cans ill mount at the end of the bed on each side for straps and some tools. after that probably start looking at collecting parts for the links and maybe order 7" rear glass. heres shitty cell pics as usual.

Ls is too much work and the exhaust is gonna be more work than its worth, really no good way to do it, and i dont even wanna get into the wiring. i was looking at a 2jz but again wiring and thats a big engine, i like the size of the 3.4 it just needs some pep. and a turbo taco would be badass and has alot of room for growth. i would s/c it but dont think its worth it. i know blowers but turbo would be a new challenge and make it different.

Cx racing makes motor mounts and headers for 2wd tacomas..be easy to swap in your truck.

    Wiring isn't that hard.

    But what happened to links?

Yea I saw that. I don't really wanna get a new tranny either. I just want an extra boost. They make some pretty sweet stuff and priced really well. Idk why people talk crap on them. I don't have the patience for wiring. All the tbi conversions for the crawlers around here wasn't worth it lol
Links are just collecting dust. Was thinking about buying rod ends and uniballs and stuff the other day but I opted out and got new rotors and pads, then gonna get some one piece headlights. The hold up on links is shocks. I know my junk is gonna rub the crap out of the shocks with how close the mounts are to the end of the links so I'm kinda just hanging out for now. As far as links all the hardware is next purchase and then brackets. There's some good deals on coilovers but they are all beat. I'm a cheap ass too with my money so idk kinda just see where it goes

Turboing and doing it right will cost as much as a 5.3l swap but with less power and less reliability.

If you want just a little boost do a 5spd swap and the supercharger. More reliable.

There are kits to mount r151s too Ls motors too just not cheap.

And if you don't like wiring go supercharger. Has the least involved even compared to turboing.

Linking a double cab does not sound fun haha

I'll take my chances with the turbo, and I keep it yota also. I don't want a Manual tranny lol hate them. I like the turbo, everyone has a supercharged truck I wanna be different lol runs in our family. Only plus to an Ls to me is nice cam v8 sound lol yes I'm not really looking forward to it but it'll be fun, could just stretch it a couple inches and get new links but I'm gonna work with what I started with and see where it goes. Links and mcm kit is priority over the turbo. I'd like to get a daily and sell my crawler and collect everything for the taco and do it all in one huge revamp and then in the middle just get pissed and sell it lol
