Comin together. Rear end just needs final welding then panel in the firewall. Gonna get moved aside for a month so he can get his truck ready for desert season, and ill be on vacation till September so that works perfect.

Next is turning it around, chop most of the frame off besides the main rails, plating the main rails, start running tubes for new crossmembers, mounts, etc.

Rear firewall going in.

 

Rear paneling getting final. Rear shock mounts and bumps are burned in. Next is rad mount and trans mount. Rolling along

 

Seam sealer going on. Won’t get painted till I get it back and we finalize any other tabs and brackets.

 

Was it fully welded or just the tacs and then seam sealed?

 

Tacs and seam sealed. Will get Line X’d once it’s back and final assembly.

 

Trans and rad coolers getting mounted

 

Rear getting coated. Trans cooler and rad mounts welded in. Also have 4 link bolts shanked correctly.

Rear is complete. Shocks go on next week then it gets turned around to shave the frame down and get it plated and get the LS and turbo 400 mounted in. Then on to running tubes for the engine cage.

 

Small update. Truck rear end is officially on its own weight and finished. Turned around to start on the front. Ride height needs some love but that can be addressed later.
