    I read and understand what the OP asked. On a brand new truck which is perfectly fine as it is, I stand by the wisdom of investing the $1000 for growth knowing that there will be needs in the future for tires, maintenance, etc and that money will come in handy then.

    Spending it on aesthetic mods would be wasteful and unwise given his overall circumstances.

    Thanks again for all of the input guys. I understand the logic behind saving my money, which is why im only allocating 1000$ for this project.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
    Ok, in all seriousness, cosmetics and comfort.

    Lighting: HID/projectors and black out headlight mod. Upgrade your reverse lights, leds in the cab.
    Sound: Replace your headunit to one with navi (and xm, meh if you want tunes away from the city) , along with upgrading your speakers.
    Interior: Seat heaters, weathertech mats, wet okole covers.

    All of this together is well over 1k, but pick and choose to your preferences, and it would be under 1k.
    Exterior: Diff breather mod, or any/all of the dyi mods.
