    Parts ordered :D

They should ship tomorrow, I'll start another DIY thread with the retrofit. I'll probably do it the weekend after Turkey day.

Noob question but how did you get the cut off line level as far as the rotation of the projector in the light housing? I am looking to get in on the GB for a set blazers and am looking to do the retro myself....

i lined up the projector along the lines of the fog light...

if you look a the lines on the back of the housing, i made sure the projector mounts should be parallel.

In the OP, the first pic shows the lines on the back of the fog light housing. in pic 3, it shows the projector mounts. those mounts should line up with the lines on the back of the fog light housing

Curious as to the jig you made up to enlarge the hole. Certainly no easy feat going from a big hole to a bigger hole. Could you elaborate please?

Hmm interesting. Thanks for the quick reply. Does that work like a normal hole saw? How did you center it over the existing hole?

the first picture shows a comparison with a fog light already modified and another that is still stock... i use the metal cutting wheel to cut off the plastic part the holds the bulb into the fog light... once done, i use the sanding tool to enlarge the hole.. I was quite slow at first with the drum sanding tool because i wanted to make sure the circle was evenly round..

I think op said the hole is a little bit larger than 1 3/4"... i didnt have a hole cutter soo thats why i did what i did....

You can use a hole saw if you're careful and sort of eye ball it to center it over the existing hole. The drills with a level bubble on the top do help. If you slightly oversize the hole, the hole doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be perfect when you JB Weld the projector in place. Dremel also makes a bit that looks like a drill bit but is made to cut sideways. It's very effective for cutting apart the fog light housing.

Yota Toy, did you use the TRS 9006 harness? I have factory fogs and amleaning towards using the harness for added protection although I can just pluginto the factory plugs. Advise?

    Check this out:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/187831-fog-light-retrofit.html

I made a step by step write up. I found it was easiest to use a hack saw and work my way around. To open up the fogs, you have to cut them, they don't come apart like the headlights. I used a dremel for one and a hack saw for the other one. I found that the hacksaw made a much cleaner cut and was easier to put back together.

Thanks man. I have a hi/lo kit that doesn't require cutting into the rear of the housing I was just wondering if the fog clear lens can be taken off without cutting it off

Unfortunately, there's no way to get just the lens apart without cutting it.
