Doc, I really like the rims on your truck. Who is the manufacture of them?

I'm not 100% positive, as I'm not Doc, but I believe those are Level 8 Motorsports MK6 wheels. They come in bronze, black or gunmetal.

Thanks! See below. They've all different sizes and offsets. I opted for 17x9 with -12 offset.

There is a separate 3rd gen. thread about the wheels that you may useful...lots of pics too.

Has anyone here swapped their TRD bed decals out for the red and black ones that come on some of the other color Tacos? I'm curious to see how they would look.

Nice  How do you like the hood decal? Been considering something myself to reduce the glare.

I bought a pair of factory red and black trd offroad graphics. I removed the factory silver and prepped the bedside to install the new ones. When I started laying the new factory decal down, it went horribly. The clear surrounding the letters ended up looking terrible, so I removed it and left bare bedsides. I have never had a sticker or decal install go so poorly. The sticker was about the strongest I have ever used.

With that said, I prefer the look I have now of the bare bedsides, it grew on my super quickly after it all went south. I still have the second red and black decal that I might pay to get professionally installed. I only mention this so that you might try it with an aftermarket decal before commiting to the factory pieces. It would be much cheaper than my botched attempt, and they lay down much easier.

I've thought about aftermarket since the cheapest I've seen for the factory decals were $43 each. My main problem with the aftermarket ones I've seen is the aren't one solid piece with the clear center like the factory decals. I see those as being a pain with all the edges that would eventually peel up. I can see what you mean by the factory being strong, it seems fairly thick and I'm sure there isn't much play in the decal at all. I build cornhole boards so I'm used to installing decals but I'm hesitant at the same time. Did the colors at least look good before you took them off?

I really like it. But not worth the $160 + tax from the dealer.

Might be cheaper to pay shipping and get someone with a Sport to swap mirror caps with you.

Would not cost anything to post it in the buy/sell/trade forum. Might be an owner close to you willing to swap.

So I've been watching the hood swap thread for 3 months now, and managed to luck into someone who wanted to trade their scoop Sport hood for my regular hood. I meet up with Cory today and did the swap. Luckily Toyota uses self centering bolts, so there were no alignment issues to worry about and we had it swapped in about 10 minutes. This is mine post swap.
