Gas station lights always hit good. Had to fill up for a weekend of mall crawlin. Also fixing the diff needle bearing that went bad after my lift. Rear lift goes on today as well

Looks good! A word of advice on the needle bearing if you are doing it yourself. If you are replacing the seal make sure your replacement one is the correct one before pulling out the old one unless you have another way to get to the store. Also make sure you have a tool to put the new one and if you don't you can use the old one to put the new one in. I thought I had a socket the right size but it was to small. I searched YouTube and found that you can put the old on top of the new one and tap on the old one it doesn't mess up the new one. I hope that makes sense. I ran into this issue so I thought I would share.

I appreciate it! I did grab a new seal just in case. I do plan on changing it, and borrowed a seal/bushing install tool. I'm most nervous about pulling the axle.

Don't be that is the easy part. A hammer and along screw driver will help pop it out. I actually used a hammer and a pickle fork. You will see some ridges on the alxe just put your screw driver on those and pound it out. If it doesn't seem like it's coming out of the diffs rotate the axle and try again. I did notice on mine there was paint on the axle and it came out with that paint mark on the bottom. Not sure if that mattered or not.

I've watched about every video I could, to take away tips from each one. I think I have everything I need. I gotta swing by HF and pick up a 35MM.

The axle was the hardest part of the job. I did mine yesterday. I did a lift and upper control arms too. I just removed the spindle hub and axle as a unit to give me room to do the bushing. I didn't replace the seal. And before install, I threw the bushing in the freezer for several hours.

Edit: I also had the left side up as high as I could go on a jack stand and a jack under the right control arm with the wheel off. I didn't lose a drop of fluid this way.

And a quick pic after the lift install. New tires and wheels will go on Tuesday for the alignment. 20220303144721_IMG_0899.jpg

Good looking combo! I'm going to check those wheels out. Thought about going to 17" wheels for better tire selection, especially for skinny 33s. Post pics once you get them on.

I got it done, but it wasn't any fun tbh. I couldn't find a 35mm socket, so I just popped the axle out of the diff, kinda slid it to the side. Worked pretty good for me, although I think it would have been a little easier to install if I didn't have the axle in my hammer swinging area. I also opted to replace all the gear oil. All done and vib free.
