Hey guys, checking in! finally picked up my truck yesterday. I absolutely love it. Played around in the sand a little on my way home from the dealership. And as soon as I got home the air dam was removed and HIDs and LED fogs installed

Nope, not yet. Probably just the angle of the photo and the lack of air dam

That's what I'm talkin about! Have the same thing on order with the JBL. What electronics package did you end up with? Another question, is that a bed light as well as a brake light?

I got the JBL package too. Love it! The system has a weird quirk where all of the audio sources(FM, Sirius, Bluetooth) have different volume controls though. Meaning, if you have FM volume at 20 and you change to a Sirius channel the volume will change to the last setting you had it at for Sirius channels. Watch out for this as the first time I tested how loud the system could get was with a Sirius channel(It's get loud, btw). I then changed to an FM channel eventually turning the volume down. The next day I changed from FM at level 20 to Sirius and it was at level 45. That woke me up! There is a setting in the setup screen for volume leveling or something. That may fix it, but I haven't tried it yet.

I believe it's a brake and bed light. I can confirm bed light as I used it the night I got the truck to load up some stuff. There is a switch to keep it on while the truck is off to the left of the steering wheel. Never really checked to see if it was a brake light too, but it would be silly if it wasn't.

Great info and congrats on the killer config! The bed light will be a great addition from not having one in my current truck, that is till I toss a cap on it. Even then I can wire my interior lights into that circuit easily and eventually into a secondary/stand alone battery for camping. I believe by U.S. law it has to be a 3rd brake light. Thanx man.

the bed light is decent as long as you don't have a tonneau cover (or bed cover i guess)...Its really useless with the cover. I may install bed lighting sometime down the road, when I feel like my truck is no longer brand new, or find myself using the bed light more.

I got the rugged cover hard tri fold tonneau, it has lights built in to the underside of the cover. The work surprisingly well. I think I am one of the rare few on the forum that liked the Rugged Cover though...

the rope lights I'm looking at from ARE and Leer should fix any vision issues I'd have with a shell. Leaning towards the Leer 180 over the ARE MX.

that is due to the different sound source having different baseline volumes.

usually FM will be louder at lower volumes than say XM, Bluetooth, Pandora. try comparing level 20 of FM vs level 20 of XM and Bluetooth. they wont have same volume, hence the different levels.

also take into account that your Bluetooth volume for entune is dependent on your volume on your phone settings. you will notice that having your phone at 50% volume for Bluetooth may require you to crank up your headunit volume to get any sound.
