Just bought a 2003 4wd with ABS. The brakes felt a bit spongy, (looks like a master cylinder was recently installed) and when I went to bleed the back brakes, I had no fluid at the bleeder. Checked line going into wheel cylinder, no fluid. There is fluid at the leveling thing in the back, but no fluid at the tee on the rear differential just past the flexible hose. The key was on and the ABS pump was running. Have read the other threads I could find, but other than going to the dealer, not sure where to check next.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would not go to the dealer, I would take it to an independent shop instead.

To me it sounds like the hard lines on the rear axle are plugged. If that's the case, they'll need to be replaced. It's also not out of bounds to need to replace the rear drum brake components as well.

I suggest a priest. Wash in holy water. Exorcize the demons of the truck. Should be problem free for a while. J/k. Start at the front and work your way forward.
