i have 4 hella 700ff's hooked to a single hella stock 40Amp relay, was running them tonight on a long dirt road, and lost power to the lights, checked ground and power, i may have blown it out... all 4 lights only use 25.8 Amps, so i thought i had 14.2Amps left for safety...

    should i get a 50Amp or 60Amp relay?

any other tips? pics to come soon

It sounds more like there was a defect in the relay...maybe bad contacts. I'd replace with a high quality relay of the same capacity.
