im not refusing to listen... but once again.. im only 18.. im putting my own money into this stuff which i dont have a lot of... i am listening, but theres only so much i can do. i also have a 1st gen which tends to be a lot more limited on space then the 2nd gens. im tryin to get the point across that theres is only so much im willing to do not because im not listening, but because theres only so much i CAN do for the time being...

You have been appreciative the whole time so I gotta give you that.

The frustration is from the repetition. There isn't much new information that can be provided for your setup.

I certainly understand the tight funds. I remember the crap I threw together in my rides back in the day and most of it was laughable. What I've learned has been through trial and a whole lot of error. TW is a hell of a resource that I wish I had years ago! :p

If you can, save up for a month or two and get the good stuff. It'll save you money in the long run and you'll be MUCH happier when it's done. It's cliche but it's still good advice: do it once, do it right.

yeahi get what ur sayin... but i still dont think u understand how limited i am on what i can do... the ONLY box that will fit behind the back seats of my 04 doublecab barely fits.. the box cannot be modified in any way and still fit back there... the only two subs that will fit in the box are some pioneers and these kickers... i have a nice amp kit... and everythings wired up correctly, i just was running too much power... but i will play with the gain so i dont blow them this time... i do somewhat understand now what i need to do. and on top of that i have someone coming over to make sure everything goes smoothly. i just gotta make it work and ill be happy...

well good luck with everything man! hope you get everything dialed in right this time. just remember to set the gain to match the preout voltage on your HU. a lot of people tend to use the gain as a sort of "volume" control and thats how subs get blown.
