I'm a newbie, so I apologize if this question has already been addressed.

I have a 1998 PreRunner. My horn works intermittently--there's no rhyme or reason why is does or does not work. Also, my left blinker only works if it is pushed down slowly--the bulbs are fine.

To me, it sounds like a possible electrical problem--I have tried to get behind the steering wheel where you depress the horn, but cannot figure it out--I'm assuming it's due to the air bag that lies within.

I'm wondering if the above 2 issues are related somehow. I have purchased a new horn, but am not sure where it is located, nor am I sure that will be the "fix". I can also get to my blinker, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

I really don't want to take it to the dealership and shell out a lot of dough for this. If anyone has any suggestions or manuals they can point me to, it would surely be appreciated. Also, would an in-town mechanic be able to address and fix my problem?

    Thanks!

When all else fails read the directions. Chilton or Haynes manuals are handy items to have.

Thanks, joerussell610--I was hoping there would be something online, but I guess not. Really don't want to spend the cash on a book that I may only use a couple of times.

    I appreciate it, though!

This online 2000 FSM documentation is almost totally compatible with your 1998 ...
