I assume you mean the immobilizer light?

It means the computer is not sensing a chipped key in the ignition, therefore will not allow it to start. It's a "security" feature.

Truck is not immobilized, it starts. However, icon continues to blink only when engine is off and continues to blink 24/7. Key is not in ignition nor is it in the truck. Can it be reset someway

I think that's how it's supposed to function. It's the visual cue that the vehicle is secure. It's not indicating that the key is in the vehicle.

There is a pic on this thread. Icon shows image of a car with an image of a key within the car.

Icon flashes while engine is off and key is not in ignition nor is it in the truck or nearby.
    Is it possible to reset?

That's normal, the light blinks every few seconds when a valid key is not detected by the immobilizer even when the truck is off.

I think you are only just now noticing it, almost every vehicle with an immobilizer blinks the security light when a valid key is not present.

As long as it goes out when a valid key is in the ignition everything is fine.

Suggest you get your hands on an owners manual and READ it.

Yes, truck starts, when the system detects the chipped key in the ignition. Now, leave the key in the house and go try to hotwire the truck. You will find it immobilized.

It is all in your owners manual.

    correct me if I’m wrong.
That is supposed to turn off when the key is in the ignition.
and On when the doors are in the “locked” state and the engine is off.

    Perhaps re-program the key again?
