Think about it tho- If it were me and I didn't want to increase ride height I would rather have the 5100 adjustable purely for the internal valving. They are Zinc plated and have a sport tuned ride as compared to the Yellow O.E. replacements. I was wrong on the price they are actually MORE for the Yellow bodies selling for $99.56ea

Just to clarify the $179.99 was for the 5100 series front shock, not the Yellow O.E. replacement. I just want to insure thats what you wanted.

And so would I- I had to clarify myself. Anyway you will not be disappointed with the ride quality of the Bilstien 5100's. By far dollar for dollar the best product available for the Tacoma's. Maybe one day you will want bigger tires and you will have the ability to change the ride height if needed as well!

    Thanks again!

I'm thinkin about goin the 5100 route in order to clear some bigger tires. How big can i go after i raise the setting to 1.75 inches and also at 2.5?

Will I need to replace my coils after i get the billies, or will it be fine?

I have heard rumors about this...
What would you recommend for my 2002 regular cab 4x4 if all I really wanted was a better ride?
I have a cap and its rolling pretty abd around corners.
I dont think the shocks have ever been changed and its going on 7 years!!

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
    You can't do that.

If you run stronger coils, you'll need to set your Billys to the stock (low) setting.

    getting there....
get a set of the ome 881 coils and set the 5100's to .085.........you'll have the amount of lift you want then(you dont normally preload a coil......but that little bit wont hurt anything).
