Does the definition of axle wrap only apply to an experience that occurs from going from a complete stop to forward acceleration, or can it happen at speed induced by a bump? Just want to understand definitions before I continue to ask questions.

I only experienced it under acceleration from a dead stop

It can happen due to a bump upsetting the suspension (or even a gear change when the driveline and suspension become unloaded) but it's significantly more pronounced when accelerating hard from a dead stop.

Thanks again for your input. You are informative. Definitely not axle wrap in my case, and definitely nothing that is overly concerning. It is a fun learning experience and I appreciate hearing opinions like yours.

Yeah man, you're good TW ia a great place to learn about stuff. A huge chunk of my own knowledge is from here. If you've only got a 1 inch block and it's working for you I would prioritize a leaf lift until your current set up is no longer meeting your needs.

Now wants is a different thing altogether. Probably 60% of what I've done to my truck was a want to, not a need to.

I plan on a 1.5" block. I'll do Bilstein 6112/5160. Note I don't tow or carry any additional weight

Plenty of truck come with 1-4" blocks from the factory. A quick search shows, F-150 1.25" block, Dodge Ram 4x4 2-4" depending on the year.
