Blockhead's Blackout Build (+maybe some gold)

I recently traded in my grey 2017 Tacoma SR5 DCSB for a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB in black. Been lurkin' on here for a bit, reading up and learning a lot, but have a lot more to learn! Figured you gotta start a build thread to see the progress if you've got the mod bug, right?

I'll be dropping pics here, as well as videos I make of the truck from my YouTube channel (I'll embed vids in this thread.) Also will be keeping a list here of parts being considered and all that. Thread perk: It'll help my sanity, b/c it's a ton to keep up with!

Just checking in to say that I love your YouTube channel, have been a sub for awhile.

Can't wait to see what you do with your Tacoma.

 

Oh cool! Didn't know if there'd be any subs here since the Tacoma scene is pretty big, so that's awesome man. Based on todays video though, apparently there's quite a few within the community that own Tacomas! Bikes and trucks man, they go hand in hand!

One too many close calls with idiots on their phones. Made a tough decision. As much as I loved it, got rid of the bike. If I ever get out of the city I’d like to get another one. Not to wild about the direction Harley has gone recently though.

 

Makes sense! I run into that plenty riding in Orlando, so I totally get it. Had many friends sell their bikes here for the same reason.

H-D is definitely feeling out new areas, and some of the stuff they have incoming is much different than their traditiona MO. Not bad to diversify IMO. But, they just released an Electra Glide Standard which seems to be well received thus far, traditional H-D design

Check out Avid Offroad Sliders affordable and seem to have good reputation. Split between that and Rago Fabrication for them for me

Appreciate the link! Ended up going with Mobtown, came highly recommended, from quality product to great customer service. Also one of the strongest true bolt on / no drilling sliders out there from what I've read!
